Sho Aimoto (藍本 松 Aimoto Shō?) is a Japanese manga artist known for creating the manga series of Kemono Jihen.
Biography[]
Sho Aimoto is a mangaka from Okayama, Okayama Prefecture, she is best known for her works Hokenshitsu no Shinigami and Kemono Jihen. She also created the one-shot spin-off manga Fujiko's Bizarre Worldly Wisdom -Whitesnake's Miscalculation-.
Aimoto began his journey in the manga industry as an assistant to Akira Amano, creator of the series Katekyō Hitman Reborn!. Her talent was first recognized in December 2005 when she won the 33rd "Jump Twelve Newcomer Manga Award" for her story Hanasaka Hime. This debut piece was later published in the Summer 2006 issue of Akamaru Jump.
In 2006, she released the one-shot MUDDY in Jump the REVOLUTION! and reintroduced it in 2007 during the combined 36th and 37th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump as part of the 3rd Gold Future Cup. This success led to the serialization of MUDDY in Weekly Shonen Jump in early 2008.
His first major success came with Hokenshitsu no Shinigami, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2009 to 2011. After that, Aimoto began work on Kemono Jihen, which premiered in Jump SQ in January 2017. This ongoing series received wide acclaim and was adapted for an anime that aired from January to March 2021.
